A starting shot

1. Heat. Let the PID settle. Empty a blank shot to warm the group and cup.
2. Dose. Eighteen grams in the 58mm basket.
3. Prepare. WDT, distribute, tamp level, optional puck screen.
4. Brew. A 1:2 ratio — about 36 grams out — is a quiet place to begin.
5. Steam. Purge the wand. Wipe and purge again.
